Adding datasets is easy and we will help you through every step of the way. All you have to do is apply for a publisher account below and we’ll work with you to add and manage datasets on data.govt.nz. You’ll want to make sure the data you want to list is Open Data.

Eligible agencies

Data.govt.nz is the central catalogue of Government Open Data in New Zealand including data from:

  • Central Government
  • Local and regional Government
  • Tertiary education institutions
  • Crown entities

The data.govt.nz team takes no responsibility for any dataset listings by agencies.
