The Privacy, Human Rights and Ethics (PHRaE) Framework

This guidance is a good option if privacy is the number one priority for your product, service, system or process.

The Privacy, Human Rights and Ethics (PHRaE) developed by the Ministry for Social Development, focuses on legislative and ethical considerations relating to the collection, use or disclosure of personal information. This includes the application of the Privacy Act 2020 and its 13 information privacy principles, specific legislative provisions under which the Ministry may collect, use or disclose personal information, and the discrimination provisions of the Human Rights Act 1993.

The PHRaE operates through a Privacy by Design approach. You can find out how this can apply to your project here.
