More information required about request

Kia ora, Thank you for this Official Information Act request received 25 July 2024. WorkSafe cannot readily access or retrieve the requested information as we do not record the causes of injuries from notifications we receive. It is our view that a substantial amount of research and collation would be needed to fulfil your request as currently worded, and we would be likely to refuse this request under section 18(f) of the Official Information Act. Consequently, in good faith we have assessed that we can reasonably fulfil your request if it is refined to be for a list of notifications of notifiable injury or illness received for the mining and quarrying industries over the last five years. This may assist you in making a further, more targeted request if necessary. Could you please advise your agreement to this revised scope by 7 August 2024 to enable us to continue with your request?
