Open data implementation plan: looking back, looking forward

The Open Data NZ team is releasing two updates: one looking back over the last six months, and one looking at the next six. We’re also excited to be testing a way to improve engagement using Trello.

New progress report

We’ve published a progress report providing an overview of activities completed through to November 2018 and what’s happening in the data system. In recent months we’ve:

  • released the new open data maturity dashboard
  • started a series of enhancements on data.govt.nz
  • run numerous data-related events and conversations.

Updated implementation plan

We’ve also updated the open data implementation plan with tasks for the next six months.

Trello board pilot

The implementation plan is now available on a public Trello board. We’d like to see if this helps people engage more with the implementation plan, as Trello provides the ability to view checklists, comment on tasks, and see revision histories.

Let us know what you think. You can add your comments to the Trello cards if you’re logged in to Trello. (You can create a free account.) You can also email us at opendata@stats.govt.nz, or tweet us at @opendatanz.
