Data visualisation with Power BI - an introduction

This workshop is for participants who have no previous experience of Power BI. In this workshop you will:

• get an introduction to the basic concepts of developing a report in Power BI and how to:
• learn how to start developing basic data connections and visualisations
• learn how to publish and share reports.

Locations and dates

Christchurch: Monday 2 March 2020.

Auckland: Monday 13 April 2020, Monday 20 April 2020.

Wellington: Monday 4 May 2020.

Advanced visualisation with Power BI

This workshop is for participants who have basic working experience in Power BI or have attended the introductory workshop. In this workshop you will learn about:

• the agile process to creating Power BI data visualisations in Power BI
• Power BI report layouts and structure
• choosing the right charts
• the concepts of advanced data modelling and importing data
• the Power Query M language and creating queries.

Christchurch: Tuesday 3 March 2020.

Auckland: Tuesday 14 April 2020, Tuesday 21 April 2020.

Wellington: Tuesday 5 May 2020.

Master class in Power BI

This workshop is for participants who have previous experience in Power BI and have a data visualisation project in mind or in progress. or have attended the introductory workshop. Working knowledge of Power BI report layouts & structure, data modelling and Power Query language, is essential.

In this workshop you will work on your own dataset to develop the data visualisation you need for your organisation. Support will be on hand to help you through any difficulties and identify different approaches for your project.

Christchurch: Wednesday 4 March 2020.

Auckland: Wednesday 15 April 2020, Wednesday 22 April 2020.

Wellington: Wednesday 6 May 2020.
